The new International Terminal at Baku's Heydar Aliyev Airport in Azerbaijan, for which Arup is the designer of the main architectural and engineering concept, is also potentially the largest HUB in the Caucasus region. Announcing and signalling the new terminal is the entrance door: the metal structure with a hyperbolic paraboloid shape is the result of multidisciplinary architectural and engineering design work by Arup.
